Atomic War! #4

An American commander leads a desperate mission to stop Soviet atomic-propelled missiles before they strike U.S. targets, with the help of Agent Glenn Harris who infiltrates a Russian expert disguised as a paramedic near Magnitogorsk. When a coded radio message reveals the Soviets are launching an atomic-propelled satellite into space, American forces attempt to intercept the missiles mid-flight and destroy the rocket research center, resulting in some missiles crashing into uninhabited mountain ranges while others strike populated river valleys with hydroelectric dams. The story concludes with the satellite project partially destroyed, though U.N. scientists are determined to develop their own man-made satellite for the defense of democracy.
