This is an anthology issue containing at least three crime stories. "A Dangerous Job" follows a factory security guard who attempts to stop murderers targeting the Lanier Appliance Company's payroll shipments, eventually leading to his death on September 10th despite police protection efforts. Another story depicts a payroll robbery in which criminals named Lefty and Ben steal money from a plant, with Lefty's quick thinking allowing them to escape with the payroll envelopes before police arrive. "When Ex-Cons Meet!" involves two former convicts, Blinky Korge and Eddie Ludlow, who case a merchant's trust bank and plan a robbery, with one ex-con mistakenly confronting the wrong man named Fenwick in a garage.
