This issue contains two crime stories. "Murder Inc.'s No. 1 Boy" follows police efforts to capture members of the criminal organization Murder, Inc., including a banquet where the gang celebrates their operations and a manhunt involving multiple jurisdictions. "Johnny Usher—The Criminal Who Would Shoot, But Not to Kill / Nothing to Lose" depicts the pursuit of criminal Johnny Usher and the Murtha Gang, who kidnap a doctor and nurse; police broadcast an alarm across five states and ultimately locate and apprehend the fugitives.
