Battle Stories #1 is a war anthology featuring multiple combat narratives. Another account follows Allied pilots who devise a strategy to neutralize a thousand Red troops moving south through timber by spacing planes in a circle around a base and using coordinated firepower to decimate the advancing forces. A third narrative details soldiers training a dog mascot named Hamlet in combat skills including stalking enemies and responding under fire, with the animal eventually proving its worth in actual battle against Red forces.
