Battle Stories #18 is an anthology featuring two stories. "The Jet from Nowhere" depicts a military pilot attempting to track down an mysterious jet aircraft. "Double DFC" tells of two rival New York street youths, Joe Sloan and Tommy Baxter, whose lifelong feud leads them to discover an unexpected common enemy. "A Hero's Mistake" follows Major Hank Stone, a tough U.S. Marines officer, as he makes a critical decision during the Korean War involving a floating iceberg being used as an aircraft carrier by enemy forces, ultimately forcing him to live with the consequences of his choice.
