Battlefield Action #19

Battlefield Action #19 is a war anthology containing at least three stories. "Spitfire Ace" follows Captain Ike Wallace, a Royal Air Force pilot ordered to observe American Lend-Lease operations in 1940 while remaining neutral, who becomes entangled with German aircraft and a suspicious wing commander. "The General Told Them—Nuts!" depicts the Battle of the Bulge on December 16, 1944, when General von Runstedt's twenty divisions attack, and American soldiers under General McAuliffe's command mount a desperate defensive stand. "Salvo!" features a Marine captain with a shattered leg who orders his men to attack enemy positions on the beach, sacrificing himself to give his unit a chance to survive.
