Another story depicts a man possessed by an uncontrollable urge who boards a train and nearly escapes before blood-hungry hounds pursue him. A third tale follows a gravedigger who unearths a coffin containing a solid gold ring, only to discover the hand wearing it will not release its grip, cursing him with supernatural horror.
