Big Shot #54

Big Shot is an anthology featuring multiple stories. One story follows a costumed superhero who overhears a radio broadcast about Tokyo and decides to fly to China to visit Darling, learning that a bombing mission is planned and rushing to warn Miss Carroll—the hero ultimately sacrifices himself in combat as only one pilot can return. Another story depicts Italian soldiers who initially resist surrender but ultimately accept capitulation to Allied forces, deciding to lay down their arms and abandon fascism. A third story concerns a young boy who encounters a Humane Society vehicle and is mistaken for a stray dog by a man unfamiliar with the organization's modern role in pet care and welfare.
