Bill Boyd Western #11
The issue opens with a humorous short story about a man who claims to be the best ranch hand ever and challenges others to a shooting contest to prove it, though he admits he is not a good shot and cannot draw a gun. A separate backup story titled "Hammerhead" depicts a child character attending school and struggling with academic subjects including French, Italian, algebra, and other coursework. The main story follows an undercover agent who becomes entangled with criminals; after being tied up and escaping, he pursues the suspects on horseback, ultimately fleeing from the sheriff of Sawtooth Junction who recognizes and chases him.
