Bill Boyd, investigating a suspicious insurance office, becomes trapped in a room with the cement walls closing in on him. Using a burning cigarette and a rope, he manages to escape and later discovers that a criminal gang has been using the office as a front, with their leader planning to kill Boyd by trapping him in a book crate filled with stones. Bill Boyd uncovers the scheme, foils the gang's plot, and apprehends the culprits, bringing them to justice.
