Billy the Kid #51

Billy the Kid is pursued by enemies and forced to leap his horse off a cliff into a river canyon approximately 150 feet below. A memory of Thunder, his former horse, suddenly fills his mind, and Billy manages to turn in mid-air and cut the surface of the flooding river at the canyon's bottom, surviving the fall and escaping his pursuers.
