This is an anthology issue containing four stories. "The Water God" depicts Billy the Kid and warriors battling an entity called the Water God who has taken control of an underground stream and demands a peace treaty be broken. "Charlie Hits the Trail" is a prose narrative about Charlie Siringo's cattle-driving experience in 1874, when he hired on to help gather a herd of steers for the Muckleroy Brothers, detailing the challenges of managing wild cattle and a stampede during a storm. The other two stories advertised on the cover are "The Terrible Tenderfoot," "Señor Kid's Revenge," and "Happy Jack," though the visible pages do not show their complete narratives.
