Black Diamond Western #29

Black Diamond Western #29 is an anthology featuring three feature-length stories. "The Bookworm's Bonanza" follows placer miner Neilsen as he becomes suspicious of fellow miner Jackson's secretive behavior at the Nugget Saloon and follows him to uncover what he's hiding. The "Black Diamond Western" story depicts a military conflict in the Black Hills two years prior, wherein Colonel Vane leads cowardly forces against Apache warriors; when the campaign fails, Vane is court-martialed, and the narrative shifts to Fort Thunder where Lieutenant Orange receives a message about a potential Indian uprising and plans to intercept the insurgents. The issue also includes an advertisement for Dernol skin treatment addressing pimples and acne.
