Black Fury #14

Black Fury, a wild horse, is freed from captivity after being held in a rope by a man who recognizes the animal's spirit and refuses to break it. Days later, during a chase across open terrain, Black Fury becomes separated from a colt, which is left behind and tied to a tree by a character named Matton. Meanwhile, a man named Tom is sworn in as a Texas Ranger, with an authority figure noting that Tom's father was a marshal who was killed—a death Tom hopes to avenge by finding the man responsible.
