Black Fury #46
Black Fury, a black stud horse described as a savage and dangerous animal, has turned man-killer, prompting efforts to destroy him. An old rancher named Barney harbored Black Fury near his property, feeding and caring for the horse, until the animal escaped and went after Barney in a violent search. In a secondary story titled "The Miracle at Dover's Pass," a stranger named Karl Evers brings a railroad spur to Dover's Pass and claims ownership of a local ranch, leading to a confrontation with the ranch's residents who suspect he has tricked them out of their property through a fraudulent mortgage scheme.
