Black Fury #53

In "Silver Tip Killer," Black Fury must rescue a boy and his mare from a ruthless outlaw named Shag Buxton who has kidnapped them to use the horse for his own purposes. When Black Fury and the boy are trapped near a grizzly bear, hunters attempting to shoot the bear wound the horse instead, but Black Fury manages to escape and alert the authorities. Shag Buxton attempts a final stand against Black Fury in a gunfight, during which a grizzly bear is shot and kills Buxton, allowing Black Fury to rescue the boy and his mare.
