Blazing Trails #2

A rustler's gang brands cattle with a "cold-brand" that can be easily altered, devising a scheme to steal branded livestock and alter the marks to resell them. When their plot is discovered, the rustlers are caught and jailed, with the stolen cattle recovered and returned to their rightful owner. The story concludes with the gang members imprisoned and the hero credited with exposing their criminal operation and clearing his own name.
