Blazing West #11
"Paint Pony" tells the story of Sheriff Hank Rogers, who is awakened by shots fired at the Wells Fargo office and manages to wound a fleeing outlaw's horse. Following the paint-stained trail of the injured animal, Rogers and his posse track the gang to a hideaway cabin in the hills, where the outlaws surrender upon realizing they are surrounded. The sheriff's clever deduction—recognizing that only red paint could account for the blood-like stains—leads him to the gang's location and their capture.
