"Teen-Age Diary Secrets" opens with a young woman named Grace caught in a romantic triangle, refusing to leave her date Jock despite his insistence she go home. "Big City Glamour Led Me Astray" follows Sandra, a girl who initially wanted to be a secretary but became caught up in big-city life and its distractions, ultimately hoping to escape to Chicago. "I Should Have Played Hard-to-Get" depicts a girl named Gracie who missed her chance with a boy named Jock by not playing coy at a baseball game. "Everyone Said I Was Wild" concludes with a cautionary tale of a girl reflecting on her wild reputation and her romance with Bill MacGregor, which ended when he saw her with another girl at the lake.
