Brenda Starr Comics #10

This issue contains two main stories. The first, "The Black Market," follows Brenda Starr as she pursues a criminal black market operation; when a cop is shot and a woman named Netta becomes involved with criminals, Brenda works to expose the gang and secure evidence for the city editor. The second story chronicles the history of photographer Jimmy Hare, detailing his career from photographing horses at races through his work documenting major historical events including the sinking of the Maine and various conflicts, ultimately leading him to emigrate to America where his photographic innovations prove superior to existing technology. The issue closes with a scene of Brenda at a country club where she is mistaken for someone named Margie, leading to romantic complications and confusion with a man named Peter.
