Bruce Gentry Comics #8

The issue contains at least two stories: the lead feature follows Bruce Gentry as he recovers stolen treasure from Gomez and his minions in a pirate adventure, with assistance from Chick and others who secure the stolen goods and ensure Gomez's surrender. A secondary story details a test of courage in which two hunters, Ngobi and R'wana, compete to kill a black lion in the African jungle; R'wana succeeds in wounding the lion fatally with his spear, winning the hand of the chieftain's daughter Blina and becoming the next chieftain, while Ngobi's failure to strike the killing blow results in shame and a legend that R'wana's ghost and the lion's ghost became man-killers haunting the Kenya jungle.
