Candy encounters a robot in science class that prompts a discussion about a visiting teacher, Dear Miss Dugan, whom the students plan to honor with a surprise party disguised as a children's event. In a separate story, Candy and her friend Teena go on a picnic where a pig escapes and ruins their food, leading them to attempt to recapture it with comedic results. A third story follows Candy as she auditions for the school dramatic club's skit night production after reading about casting calls on the bulletin board, ultimately attempting an acrobatic routine in the gymnasium.
