Candy #28

The issue contains two Candy stories. In the first story, Candy bets Ted twenty bucks that she can catch a crook, and when a thief strikes, she sets a booby trap to knock him flat on his face. In the second story, Candy offers Ted the use of her family's car for a drive, but after Ted accidentally floods the engine while showing off, the car becomes unusable, and Candy must figure out how to explain the accident to her parents. A brief backup story shows Candy working at an ice cream parlor where she creates an elaborate and messy sundae for a customer.
