Candy faces multiple mishaps in her efforts to help others. She attempts to assist Ted with a do-it-yourself home repair project, resulting in disaster when she destroys his kitchen; later, she agrees to meet a state representative about financing a youth center, but must first join friends for a farm outing where she gets the car stuck in a mud puddle. Finally, Candy encounters Cornelia Clyde, her romantic rival for the attention of the football team captain, leading to a confrontation where Candy's interference backfires and she ends up being kissed by mistake.
