An anthology featuring "The Esmeraldas Treasure," in which Captain Silver of the Sea Hound rescues a woman from the water and battles a pirate over a sunken treasure chest, with an enemy submarine involved in the action; "Hail, Liberator," depicting José Boves leading raids on llanos during a period of war and hardship, culminating in his defeat and exile, followed by the arrival of a liberator welcomed by freedom fighters; and "Kukai's Escape," in which a character named Kukai escapes and plans to sink the Sea Hound, causing alarm among the ship's crew.
