Captain Video #5

The issue contains two stories. "The Missiles of Doom" features Captain Video and his team responding to an alien invasion from the moon, where extraterrestrial beings from the planet Deimos have arrived with atomic weapons and plan to launch guided rockets at Earth's vital targets. Captain Video must stop the alien threat while contending with the aliens' advanced technology, including magnetic shoes and teleportation capabilities. In a second Western-themed story, Rod Cameron is revealed to be alive despite being shot, and he helps expose a murder plot involving two coyotes who killed an old man and attempted to frame Rod by claiming self-defense; the killers are apprehended and jailed. The issue concludes with Captain Video and Flight Leader Jennings pursuing the retreating alien rockets, using electro-ray guns and anti-aircraft weapons to destroy the missiles before they can strike Earth.
