Cheyenne Kid #35
This issue contains multiple stories. "The Governor's Trophy" features young Vaughan discovering no friends in Sierson Creek, a small town where all able-bodied men have been called away to fight Marx's gunmen; Marx has stolen Duffy's guns and now threatens to tackle Duffy, prompting the Cheyenne Kid to intervene. "Sam Sees Slade" is a text story recounting the historical exploits of western gunman Slade, including his conflict with Jules and his work as a railroad agent. In another illustrated story, the Cheyenne Kid encounters a diamond-back rattlesnake while scaling a canyon wall, narrowly escaping death when the heavy snake's fangs penetrate only his thick flannel shirt.
