This issue contains two stories. "Fight or Die" follows the Cheyenne Kid as he confronts a coyote who claims the Kid's injustice will see to it that someone else does the fighting for him, while the Kid is caught in a murder mystery surrounding Ransom Galt. "Sheriff Slidell" is a text feature recounting historical events from 1872 to 1890, detailing Sheriff Joe Slidell's efforts to uphold law and order in Conchero County, including his pursuit of Captain Howard Rogan and his men, who conducted raids on wagon trains and towns. The issue also includes "The Killer," a story about Bill McKesson, a man from Kentucky who sought fortune after a fortune teller's prophecy, only to discover that suspicion and superstition made him his own worst enemy.
