Additionally, the issue contains "Illustrated Stories of the Operas," featuring a Faust narrative in which the aged Dr. Faust, after years of failed searches for knowledge, creates a deadly poison but is tricked into drinking it by evil forces; his laughter-filled spirit then escapes to lead a gang of criminals causing chaos and robbery across the country.
