This issue of Comet, a happy family comic, is an anthology featuring multiple stories: "Scamp," in which a hunting dog's antics lead to comic misadventures while his father hunts rabbits; "Shorty the Deputy Sheriff," a Western-themed tale about a small sheriff dealing with outlaws and townspeople; "Dr. Pennywhistle," depicting a scientist's comedic experiments with his inventions; an educational feature "The Wild West Rodeo" detailing various cowboy skills and rodeo events with illustrated descriptions; and "Black Jeremy's Treasure," a thrilling seafaring adventure by Rex Hardinge about Anne Pennington and Dick pursuing pirate Captain Davish and the crew of the Spanish Main in their quest for buried treasure.
