"Two Solos Make a Team" tells the story of Corinne Trend, an ambitious young woman who dreamed of becoming a vaudeville star and took voice and dance lessons to pursue show business. After winning a statewide amateur contest, Corinne faced a tie in the quarterfinals with Roland Akers, a man she initially despised for his arrogant attitude toward her performance. When Roland suggested they form a team to prove they were better together, the two began practicing intensively and discovered they complemented each other well, growing closer in the process. Though their team act won them a professional engagement at a large theatre where they performed brilliantly, Roland confessed his love to Corinne, but she revealed her reluctance to continue their partnership, leaving their romantic future uncertain. "Love is a Fish Story!" follows Alice Evers, a farm girl from a remote area who had a passion for fishing as her only hobby and escape from her isolated life, until she met a sailor who shared her love of the sport and swept her off her feet with romance on the water.
