Cookie #47 is an anthology issue containing two stories. "The Funniest Kid in Town" features Cookie getting tied up with rope at a Cub Scout meeting after his leader announces they will learn how to untie knots, leading to romantic complications when a girl named Jasmine arrives, and ultimately to Cookie dancing with her after a masked Halloween party causes confusion about his faithfulness. "The Gal with Know-How!" tells of Angelina Quigley, a new employee at a truck company who submits multiple raise requests that are ignored by her boss Mr. Pullmotor; she boldly confronts him and later impresses him by successfully starting a truck that wouldn't begin, leading to her negotiating a higher salary and catching the eye of another employee, Jitterbuck, whose advances result in a chaotic domestic scene when his wife Hilda discovers them together.
