Cowboy Western Comics #30

The issue contains two stories. "Happy Homer" is a humorous comic strip in which Homer attempts to dodge a man trying to collect payment and ends up in comedic situations involving a swimming match in the desert. "Sunset Carson Turns Detective" is the main feature, in which warden Alvin Brock asks Sunset Carson to investigate whether Paul Cornell, a man imprisoned for murder, is truly guilty—Sunset discovers the real killer by proving Paul's gun was a different caliber than the murder weapon and reunites Paul with his father. The issue also includes a humorous illustrated tour of desert landmarks and historical sites in the style of a travelogue.
