This anthology issue contains multiple stories. "Wanted for Murder: Sunset Carson and the Dudes from the East" follows Sunset Carson as he pursues outlaws across the frontier. "Wes Eagan and the Magic Bird" features the adventures of Wes Eagan. An untitled tall tale recounts how a man named Paul trained whales, built a giant raft from redwood trees, and transported lumber across the ocean to the Aleutian Islands, establishing a lumber trade route. "Denver Mudd and Bushey Barns" presents a comedic story in which two characters attempt to rob a bank in Cactus City, but their plans go awry when Hootie frightens them away and later gives them tea pots as a reward for their inadvertent service, leaving them to reflect on how good luck improves one's perspective.
