Creepy Worlds #44 is an anthology issue containing multiple stories. "The Friends of Man" follows a genius who develops a cobalt bomb and shares his discovery with no one until he perfects it, after which the U.S. government refuses his knowledge; he sends a message to Martian leader Biro Samjurgosto proposing an alliance, and after initial suspicion, the Martians accept his apology for humanity's failings. "Love O'Coney" depicts sea captain Lance Caskey and his crew Mike Bellew encountering an international plot involving guns and a bullsession in South America, where Mike reunites with his old friend Francisco Seguerra.
