Crime and Justice #19

This anthology issue contains two crime stories. The first story follows two police detectives, Tex and Barry, as they investigate a series of murders in the city, including a stabbing victim and a man found shot with a .22 bore weapon. The detectives enlist the help of a woman connected to the underworld to track down suspects in the slums. The second story, titled "Never Take a Chance," recounts the true story of Eddie "Lucky" Lang, a San Francisco slum gambler who relied on gambling and luck to survive, only to meet his end when his criminal activities finally catch up with him during a violent confrontation over stolen goods and a locket.
