This issue contains at least two stories: "Merry Chase" featuring mystery writer Curtis Chase, whose bag is retrieved by police, leading to the discovery that an escaped convict has been following her, holding her captive at "The Glen" until police locate and rescue her; and "Cathy Hodges," about an Olympic swimmer and amateur sleuth who investigates a murder and jewel robbery, discovering the culprit and clearing her name. A third story involves police officers Barry and Tex responding to a stolen car case from New York, which leads to a dangerous confrontation and the apprehension of a criminal.
