Crime and Punishment #22 (January 1950) This anthology issue features multiple crime stories. "The Daisy Chain of Death!" tells of Sam Burges, a small-time swindler who steals twenty-five thousand dollars from his employer Wilson and Company; when confronted by his boss, Burges attempts to cover his crime but is ultimately caught and forced to face consequences and prosecution. "Obey the Law" follows a burglar and petty criminal who encounters a policeman while committing a robbery; the story explores the criminal's attempts to evade capture and the eventual intervention of law enforcement.
