Crime Detective Comics v2 #10

A criminal gang attempts to silence witnesses to their crimes, including a man named Bill Harris who is found dead, allegedly killed by Crowly for winning a poker game and the "wad" he won. When Dickie and Charlie are pressured to keep quiet about what they know, they become targets themselves, leading to a violent confrontation where the gang attempts to eliminate them. After a shootout and escape, the brothers manage to survive and eventually make their way to safety on a farm, where one of them finds peace working the land and tending to a cabbage patch.
