Crime Does Not Pay #64
A criminal named Rich, along with accomplice Ed Grant, murders Patrolman Arnold during a robbery attempt, but Rich escapes while Grant is captured. Rich evades police for years, eventually hiding in Baltimore until he is apprehended in 1931 and brought to trial for the murder. Kennedy, a witness to the crime, testifies for the State, and Rich is found guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced to death, demonstrating that crime does not pay.
