"The Case of the Buffalo Nickels" features private eye Chip Gardner investigating a murder involving Detective Walker, who is shot and killed by an associate named Stoner after being caught in a scheme with criminals. In another story, criminals operating from European locations—including Geneva and Madrid—plot to kidnap and kill a wealthy man, but their scheme is foiled when authorities intervene during their mountain pursuit, resulting in the criminals' deaths and the victim's rescue.
