Two criminals brothers plot to escape police pursuit by crossing a bridge, but the structure collapses, killing one of them in the crash. The surviving brother, Joe, later attempts a robbery that results in murder, and he is arrested and sentenced to prison. Joe's cellmate reveals a plan to escape through a tunnel under the prison wall, which Joe reluctantly agrees to, but authorities discover the escape plot and Joe is recaptured, leading to his ultimate downfall and arrest by police.
