Crime Must Pay the Penalty #27

A criminal named Frank orchestrates a counterfeit ring but is betrayed by fellow gangsters who set him up to be killed; he escapes and assumes a new identity as a hobo. Fleming befriends the hobo and invites him to dinner, unaware of his past, and gives him a mickey in his drink. As Fleming's accomplice prepares to rob the weakened hobo, Fleming reveals he knows the hobo's true identity and strips his wallet and ring, leaving him for dead on the tracks as a train approaches.
