"Fire in Their Blood" follows small-time crooks Whitey Kelso and Max Frame as they pursue an ambitious scheme to execute a major heist that will set them up for life, eventually planning a big haul with the help of a gang operating out of the Rampant Mountains south of Denver. The story details their criminal operations, including stolen goods distribution and liquor store robberies, while Detective Flynn investigates their activities and attempts to catch them. Delaney's father, the only decent thing in his life, ultimately pressures him to go straight, and the gang members are eventually caught as their plan falls apart, with one member discovered dead in the mountains.
