This anthology issue contains multiple danger-themed stories. "Life on the Ocean Waves" follows U.S. Marines Spike Downy and Bat Battingsley as they serve aboard a ship where they encounter pirates led by the evil John Kidd who boards their vessel; after a battle, Captain Comet appears and confronts Kidd, revealing shared knowledge of matters concerning the planets. The opening story depicts dock workers and supernatural elements, with a young boy encountering what appears to be a ghostly or mysterious presence at a warehouse.
