An anthology issue containing two stories. "Death on the Waterfront" follows a dock worker and a mysterious operative who become entangled in smuggling operations involving a valuable case marked XXX, with the worker ultimately helping to recover contraband merchandise from a waterfront setting. "Life on the Ocean Waves" depicts two U.S. Marines named Spike Downy and Bat Battingsley who are dispatched on a dangerous mission, eventually finding themselves on a pirate cruiser that travels to the hidden planetoid of Venom, where they must contend with Captain Comet, alien creatures, and an arena before attempting to escape and discover the location of secret plans.
