Darling Love #1 This issue contains two main stories: "I Was Jilted," in which Ellen is broken-hearted after Dean jilts her at the altar and later discovers that Dorothy, a woman he's involved with, has stolen a brooch from Mrs. Taylor, leading Dean to choose staying with Ellen over pursuing Dorothy; and "Too Wise for Love," in which Edith, a woman who prides herself on her intelligence and editorial work, realizes her excessive dominance and criticism have driven away her husband Mark, who leaves her, forcing her to confront how her intellectual arrogance has cost her the relationship she truly wanted.
