A group of outlaws scheme to steal a Chinese mine worth half a million dollars by convincing its owner to sell it to them. After one of the men, Tuck, attempts to negotiate, the gang plans to use a deadly duel to intimidate the owner into the sale. Jeff Baker is set up for a gunfight at the edge of town, with the winner promised to bury the loser and claim victory. The outlaws stage an elaborate rain-making scheme at a nearby mine to demonstrate their ability to develop the property, hoping this display will close the deal on their fraudulent acquisition.
