"The Game Hunter" follows Dexter as he takes his date Jill to a sporting event, leaving her with friends while he attends the game. "The Big Bird" features Dexter and a woman in a car when a bird lands on the vehicle, startling them. A prose story titled "Dance" describes a young woman named Mary who attends a dance with her boyfriend Nick, initially self-conscious about her height until Nick reassures her of his affection for her.
