Don Winslow of the Navy #29

This issue contains two stories. "Adventures of R.C. and Quickie—The Mad Bull" follows two servicemen who encounter a mad bull while camping and must use their wits to escape the enraged animal with the help of a girl they meet. "Volto from Mars" features Don Winslow protecting a merchant ship in sub-infested seas while encountering a mysterious character named Volto, who possesses magnetic powers and claims to be from Mars; Winslow must contend with Japanese submarine attacks and Volto's strange abilities as they navigate dangerous waters, eventually finding themselves in a jungle where Winslow pursues Volto toward a mountain called the Chandwah.
